What the Radiator Flush and Clean Service Includes

• Coolant System Inspection Before the flush, we inspect the entire cooling system — checking the radiator for external corrosion or fin damage, checking all coolant hoses for cracks, hardness, or bulging, inspecting the expansion tank, and noting any signs of leakage at connections or the water pump.
• Old Coolant Drain The old coolant is drained completely from the system — radiator, engine block, and heater circuit where accessible.
• System Flush A flushing process removes accumulated scale, deposits, and contamination from inside the radiator and cooling circuit. This is the step that cleaning without flushing cannot achieve — it reaches the deposits that form on internal surfaces over thousands of kilometres of operation.
• Radiator Exterior Cleaning The external fins of the radiator are cleaned to remove dust, sand, and debris that block airflow. Blocked fins reduce the radiator’s ability to release heat — even if the internal circuit is perfectly clean. • Fresh Coolant Refill The system is refilled with fresh coolant mixed to the correct concentration for the UAE’s temperature range. The correct coolant specification for your vehicle’s make and model is used — not a generic alternative.
• Pressure Test and Leak Check After refill, the system is pressure-tested and checked for leaks at all connections, hoses, and the radiator itself. A cooling system leak identified at this stage is far better found now than when the engine overheats on the road.
• Cooling System Performance Check We run the engine to operating temperature and confirm the thermostat opens correctly, the cooling fan activates at the appropriate temperature, and the coolant temperature stabilises within the normal range.

What “Protects Radiator from Corrosion” Actually Means

The radiator is made from aluminium — a material that is lightweight and thermally efficient, but vulnerable to corrosion when exposed to acidic or depleted coolant.

Fresh coolant contains corrosion inhibitors that form a thin protective layer on internal metal surfaces. As long as the coolant is fresh and the inhibitors are active, the aluminium inside the radiator, the engine block water passages, and the aluminium head components are protected.

When coolant becomes acidic — which happens as inhibitors deplete — it begins to etch the aluminium surfaces it contacts. This creates pitting, which reduces wall thickness in the radiator tubes, weakens the system, and eventually creates leak points.

A regular flush and refill maintains the protective chemistry that keeps corrosion from establishing. It is why the service description says it “protects radiator from corrosion” — this is not marketing language. It is a direct description of what fresh coolant inhibitors do.

Signs Your Cooling System Needs Attention Now

• Temperature gauge running higher than usual — even if it has not yet reached the red zone, a rising temperature trend is a warning sign.
• Coolant level dropping without any visible external leak — internal leakage or a head gasket issue needs investigation.

• Sweet smell from under the bonnet — the characteristic smell of leaking coolant burning on a hot engine surface.
• Visible deposits or scale around the expansion tank cap or coolant hose connections — a sign of long-overdue coolant replacement.
