• Clear Coat A heat-resistant clear coat is applied as the final protective layer. This is what gives the wheel its gloss, protects the colour from UV and brake heat, and determines how long the finish lasts.
• Curing and Refitting The wheel is allowed to cure fully before the tyre is refitted and the wheel goes back on the vehicle. Rushing this stage causes the finish to chip easily under early use.
